Overcoming the spirit of Delay by Fortune Nwaiwu

Overcoming the spirit of Delay

A sermon preached by Fortune Nwaiwu on Wed. 20/03/2019

There are forces that are responsible for delaying peoples' blessings, keeping them from progressing, such forces are also responsible delaying some people from receiving Christ as their personal Saviour. With the help of God, those forces hindering your success will stop.

1. The Ethiopian Eunuch overcame the spirit of delay by receiving God's salvation – Acts 8:36  As they went on the way, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Behold, here is water. What is keeping me from being baptised?”   He had accepted to follow Christ but was not yet a born again because he was yet to be baptised. His baptism delayed a little, and he wondered what would stop him from being baptised since there was a river to do so. So being a serious minded person to embrace Christ as his Saviour, he was then baptised by Philip. Never you allow the power of darkness to stop you from receiving God's salvation. The Ethiopian Eunuch overcame the spirit of delay by his anxious desire to follow Jesus Christ. As he was enlightened about the man(Christ) who was led to the slaughter, who was silent before his shearer, he was moved in spirit and needed no delay to become a Christian.

2. Jacob's blessing delayed for 14 years (Gen.29:21)

The spirit that was responsible for the delay of Jacob's blessings was the spirit of servitude. Such  a spirit made him to serve over and over amounting to 14 years in the course of marrying Rachel. When he had worked for his uncle -Laban and expected Rachel to be given to him, he was disappointed. Another woman was given to him - Leah. Thus, when one is under the spell of delay, it makes one to work over and over again. Such a person when he gets to a level of receiving something, he would be told another story. "Sorry,” “another person has taken it,” “you can try again," “come again," and/ or “next time". These are perhaps words used to comfort anyone who is under the influence of the spirit of delay- "there is no harm in trial".

Note - those who have earned money to buy a car, but the person they gave money to buy it for them squandered the money, the cause of it is the spirit of delay operating to delay you from progressing, doing something in your life. The only one who can help you out is Jesus Christ- the hope of the nations.

3. Daniel's answers to his prayers delayed for 21 days because of the Prince of the Kingdom of Persia ( Dan. 10:13). The angel who was sent to answer Daniel's prayers was troubled by the spirit prince of Persian Kingdom. But Daniel was able to overcome this problem by the aid of God sending the archangel Michael to fight the battle for him. The same God will fight for you. The prayers you have prayed for years, if there is any power from any Kingdom of darkness withholding your prayers, destiny and blessings, we command them now to release them in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Altar call

If you receive Jesus Christ now as your Lord and personal Saviour, there Will be no more delay in getting what you have longed for to possess.

Read Rev.10:6= He swore an oath in the name of the one who lives forever, and ever, who created the heavens and everything in it, and the sea and everything in it. He said - " there will be no more delay ".

b. There will be no more delay in the pursuits of my business and academic careers, in Jesus' name. Amen.

d. Every spirit of delay in my life, causing a delay in my marriage, and conceiving of babies get out of  me. I reject and denounce you for ever. You can no longer rule my destiny. Jesus Christ has come to rule and reign in my life and over me.

e. You spirit of misfortune, you are cast into the bottomless pit where you will no longer have upper hand in my life in the name of Jesus.

f. Any spirit that empties my pockets, dwindling my financial strength thereby delaying me to do exploits I command you to exists no more in my life, in Jesus’s name, amen.

DO NOT ALLOW SOMEONE TO TAKE YOUR CROWN

DO NOT ALLOW SOMEONE TO TAKE YOUR CROWN A sermon preached by Rev. Fortune Nwaiwu on Sunday 28/04/2019 'I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take away your crown’− Rev. 3:11 NLT. We thank God, brethren, for his unfailing love and grace to sustain us to these days. Let’s wave our hands to him, the Most High God as a token of honor to him. Join me as I sing this song: I’ve decided to follow Jesus  I’ve decided to follow Jesus I ’ve decided to follow Jesus No coming back, no coming back Do you know that anyone who has decided to follow Christ has as well embarked on a spiritual journey? The journey is like a race athletes run expecting a wonderful crown at the end. It should be noted that a crown is never given to people that are not successful in the course of the race. You may do well at the beginning of your race, but how you end is a matter of importance. If you end well, you will be entitled for your glorious crown, and if not you will receive a crown of...

WHERE IS YOUR HOPE?

WHERE IS YOUR HOPE? A sermon preached on the Easter Sunday, 21 st April, 2019 by Rev. Fortune Nwaiwu Can the dead live again? If so, this would give me hope through all my years of struggle, and I would eagerly await the release of death”− Job 14:14 NLT. I preach from the angle of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ who was crucified. We see that there were many people in those days that had committed crimes and were supposed to die based on the Law of Moses (i.e. the man that committed adultery with the woman that was brought to Jesus that he saved) but no one sentenced them to death. But why is it that our Lord Jesus Christ, an innocent soul was crucified? He came to show us the way, to save us from the power of sin. In order to fulfill the scriptures, he was destined to die for us all, but his people did not know him. Out of hatred, he was killed− he was oppressed and treated harshly, and yet he did not say a word. He remained silent before his foes. But what...
